A feast of entertainment

Our Pecha Kucha evening previously advertised has morphed into a Variety night on 

27 May, Thursday 7.30pm. 

 There will be presentations, music, short plays and a host of other entertainment.

The call is out for auditions for the upcoming play THE PINK HAMMER, written
by Michelle Amas and directed by Michelle Cliff, at Litt Theatre, Te Puke. On
stage 10 – 20 August.
One of the main characters in Siobhan, a 20 -30 year old sassy Irish woman
who has paid for a wood working workshop and is determined to get her
money’s worth.
The other three women are 30 -60 years old with a range of confidence,
characteristics and woodworking skills.
Woody, the 30’s bloke, just wants to get all of these women out of his
workshop!
Local theatre is loads of fun so come along if you are keen to have a try–out for
these roles, or help out in any way.

JENNIFER  WARD-LEALAND  MASTERCLASS

Saturday 12th June 2021 9.30am – 4.30pm

THE CRAFT OF ACTING

Deepening and enriching the actor’s performance.

In this workshop participants are directed in scenes. There is a strong emphasis on identifying and developing acting craft, including playing actions, identifying objectives and actions, processing (developing the inner monologue), pace, and use of the breath. Participants have the opportunity to observe other participants and engage fully in the process. Jennifer will work with 12 people (6 pairs) on a script that will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the class.  (Minimum age 18 years old).  Or you can register to be an observer. 

For 16th Ave Theatre financial members:

$100 for participants or $45 for observers 

For non-members $150 for participants or $65 for observers.

Michelle Cliff has been associated with Te Puke Rep for many years now and is often found in the wardrobe conjuring up fantastical costumes and props.  She is also well known for her incredible skill as a director and we are looking forward to a fabulous production in August with the Pink Hammer.
