Winter Newsletter

As the cold, dark nights draw in and we start to think about the year ahead, I also like to spend a little time reflecting on the one ending.

It has been a wonderfully busy 12 months, booking all kinds of different holidays for my lovely clients, and I finally took my long-awaited trip to Newfoundland, plus two unexpected trips - one to Turkey and most recently one to Puerto Banus in Spain.

At this time of year, I am often asked for my top travel tips.

My first tip is simply to read some of the blogs on my website - both my own blogs and those of my clients. They really give an idea of what you can expect if you book a holiday with me.

My second tip is to point you towards the testimonials from my clients. I thank each and every person who took time to write about me and the services I offer. If you get a chance, please read the reviews by Oliver and Jai and Gordon. Their holidays to Rhodes this summer were affected by the unexpected wild fires. Their situations illustrate the importance of booking with a reputable agent who will ensure you’re looked after (that’s me, by the way!).

My final tip is to "live for the moment".

Sadly, this year we lost one of my musical heroes, Jimmy Buffett, best known for his tropical rock music and the song “Margaritaville”. Whenever I travel, especially to tropical destinations, his music accompanies me. I always wanted to attend one of his Caribbean concerts and never did. 😢

My personal tribute is to share a couple of my favourite lyrics of his:

"Life is a journey that's not measured in miles or years, but in experiences”

“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination”

Finally, I have a small request... If you could share my website and social media posts with friends, family and colleagues, it would mean a lot to me. I think they are great representations of what I do and how I work, and sharing them really helps a little business like mine to grow.

Thank you for your support and very best wishes for the festive season.
