I refer to magic quite a bit in my coaching practice because I seem to experience it a lot in my own life. I also witness it in the journeys of many of my clients.
What does "magic" really mean?
We hear the word magic and we think of magicians or mystics or even witches or warlocks. Harry Potter pop into anyone's mind?
When I speak the word magic, I'm speaking in the realm of miracles:
Perfect timing.
Perfect people.
Perfect events.
Perfect inspirations.
Perfect actions.
Often, one leading to the next.
What does magic look like?
Magic is feeling inspired to do something in a different sort of way and then watching something very unexpected unfold.
We may be inspired to take a different route on the way to work, and then bump into an old friend at a coffee shop where we're inspired to stop. The friend says the thing we've been needing to hear, or offers the service that we've been meaning to ask for.
It looks like kismet and sounds like,
"...the weirdest thing happened to me today..."
How does magic feel?
Magic feels like inspired action.
It's an inspiration action that feels deeper than choice. We feel pulled toward doing something, and then something unfolds that we couldn't have anticipated if we'd actually thought it through.
How do we create more magic in our own lives?
Stop trying to find an answer to the questions you're incessantly asking.
Want to quit your job?
Leave that relationship?
Finish that book?
Have another kid?
DON'T.
If you're still asking the question, it's not time to have an answer yet.
When you know, it won't be a question anymore. You'll just know.
Instead, notice the question and be open to an answer being revealed.
One of my favorite chapters ever written was Chapter 1 titled, "The End" in the book, Steering by Starlight by Martha Beck. Admittedly, this is not a typical way to begin a book. Well, that's Martha for ya! You create magic by starting with the feeling you yearn to have once you have the thing in your hands. If you're yearning for a relationship, stop asking why you don't have the relationship. Instead, begin by envisioning what that relationship will feel like. Then find ways to bring that feeling into your life today, right now even! Yes - even without your ideal partner.
This is where the magic begins.
You can bring the feeling of the relationship to you through vision boards, journaling, meditations, talking about it with someone who also believes in magic like yours truly, or a trusted friend who doesn't tend to crush your dreams or even question them.
(Pro Tip: Never discuss dreams with muggles).
Aligning your feelings with your dreams creates magic in your life immediately.
Once you discover hacks to create that feeling in your life right now,
and return to that feeling as often as possible,
you will begin to draw the physical thing to you faster than you can say
MAGICAL MANIFESTER.
It sounds ethereal. I know.
I don't know why it works.
It just does.
And I'd bet that you've experienced this in your life already.
We don't keep at it because it looks/sounds/seems magical
rather than cultural.
(that's the point)

it's a pretty fun process!
