So this is issue number 52. That means we've been going a whole year! Have we learned much? Well, maybe....we can hope! It seems that we haven't learned how to get these sent out earlier but we keep trying every week! We've found some new breakfasts, lunch boxes, dinners and some new happy hours! Also we heard about a talk on shipwrecks, a hot sauce challenge and a warrior Vinyasa class. So maybe it was worth the wait? Enjoy the rest of the week, keep safe, stay well! Breakfast and Lunch Many people say that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So even if you're running late, don't skip it and power through to lunch. You can stop at The Garden in Nawala and grab a breakfast to go. Starting from Rs500 you can get a double cheese toasted sandwich, an egg sandwich or a muffin, and they come with a complimentary coffee. And we found another breakfast: The Fab offer an all day breakfast at their branch at 474 Galle Road which is open from 6am daily, so you can get a nice early one! From breakfast to brunch and Nuga at Rosmead now offers a weekend brunch menu. Available on Saturdays and Sundays, the a la carte brunch dishes are on offer from 8am to 2pm. Monsoon in Park Street Mews also has a brunch menu at weekends. They have Asian and international dishes available a la carte, from on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 5.00pm. The Avenue has introduced a selection of healthy lunch box options. There are four choices: chicken, pork, beef or fish and each comes with sides. For example the chicken is herb marinated and grilled and comes with roast vegetables, cheesy omelette and long grain rice. Prices start from Rs600 for the chicken lunch.

High Tea and Dinner: Dinner cruises are back! Garton's Ark is sailing again with a two hour dinner cruise with full international dinner buffet. They operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7.00pm to 11.00pm, with the cruise being from 8.30 to 10.30pm. They also operate some Tuesdays. There is a full bar on board but you can also BYOB. They depart from the Urban Wetland Park in Nawala and cruise through Diyawanna Oya lake. Pizza deals don't get much better than "buy one, get one free" do they? And yes, Grand Slam's deal "buy a large pizza and get a regular margherita pizza free" is still in place until the end of February. It applies to any large pizza except the Margherita or Aglio Funghi and is valid for dine in, takeaway or delivery. Park Street Mews Restaurant has a new "Dinner Specials" menu with a selection of inspired Asian, Western and fusion dishes. The specials menu has four starters, four main courses and two desserts to choose from and is available daily.

Their Happy Hours are from 5.00pm t0 7.00pm daily, and you can enjoy buy one, get one free on selected cocktails, shots, beers and wine. You may have seen our post this week on Ladies' Nights, so you'll know that most of them are on Wednesday. There are a few others, though. On Tuesday, King of the Mambo becomes Queen of the Mambo and ladies can enjoy complimentary drinks from 6pm to 8pm. On Thursday, Allstar offers a selection of cocktails free for ladies from 8m to 10pm. On Fridays at Playtrix, ladies can enjoy buy one, get one free on selected cocktails and a free dessert with your first cocktail, from 10pm to 11pm. Some venues also offer deals for ladies when there is music or a special event. This weekend, on Friday there's free drinks for ladies at Lavix from 10pm to midnight and on Saturday night ladies can enjoy 1+1 cocktails at The Re.pub.lk from 7.00pm to 9.30pm, when the band starts.
