Hello Mat Fans,

The month of May has arrived and, along with it, the latest Tinywargames newsletter. I hope that those of you in the UK had an enjoyable bank holiday weekend involving plenty of hobby and some gaming if you were lucky.

I took the opportunity to get down to the coast for a few hours and get a bit of fresh air. I recently decided to dig out my trusty metal detector from the garage and have so far managed to unearth some shotgun shells, a couple of .22 bullets, some dog tags and plenty of money. Yesterday I found £9.50! I'll soon be rich beyond my wildest dreams!

As ever, thank you if you purchased a battlemat from us in April. If you 'detect' any issues at all with your order then feel free to drop us a line, but I'm pretty certain you won't.

Congratulations to our April giveaway winners and keep an eye on our Twitter this month for more competitions.

I'm looking forward to returning to some sort of normality very soon, as I'm sure you are. As far as my own hobby progress, I've been painting my beloved Bolt Action and have developed a bit of a costly addiction to Sisters of Battle... Don't tell the wife...

Do remember to visit tinywargames.co.uk if you want to see our full range of mats, materials and designs and email us with any pricing queries, custom mat requests or any other questions about what we do.

Lastly, if you're interested in military history and uncovering the past like I am (all while making a few quid in the process), then we now have available a limited number of affordable 'TinyTector' metal detectors available in our online store! Never let it be said that I do things by halves...

Until next time - keep it Tiny!

All the best,

Richard

THE PUBS ARE OPENING BACK UP...

FANCY A GAME?

The pubs are reopening and that means a well-earned pint and a chance to meet up with friends again finally.

Our new range of Tinybargame mats allows you to have a game of Shove Halfpenny and play other coin-based games like darts, pétanque and even golf!

Using the same hardwearing and easily wipeable leatherette material we use to make some of our wargaming mats, the Tinybargames range offers traditional pub game fun that can be played out on the tabletop.

We've also introduced a handful of velour and leatherette casino-based mats for those who want to play cards, blackjack, roulette and more!

All of our bar game and casino mats come with our own unique designs. Simply roll out flat on the table and use a handful of coins to play.

We'll be adding more designs to this range soon, so let us know if you have any ideas you'd like to see.

BAG IT UP!

Once you have purchased your new Tinywargames battlemat you'll need something to store, transport and protect it in, right?

All of our cloth mats can be washed and ironed and folded to throw in your rucksack for taking with you to friends or to the local store or club. For our thicker, heavier, rubber-backed mats there's our purpose-made mat bag so you can just roll it up, zip it up and zip out the door!

THIS MONTH'S CUSTOM MAT...

In April we were approached by a customer who was training as a football coach and discovered our range of custom Tiny Soccer Subbuteo™ pitches.

He needed a mat that could be used for his training scenarios, designed from very specific markings and measurements. Of course, we were only too happy to oblige.

As he will be utilising some online training software along with the mat, he also required a PDF file (an image from which is above) so we put that together for him too.

The original drawing and the mat we created from it are below...

So that's all folks! We'll see you again at the start of June. Thanks again for your continued support and be sure to drop us a line here at Tiny HQ to discuss any and all of your gaming mat requirements. Have a great month and thanks for reading!
