Note from PCM's Head of School
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We did it! The Washington State Charter School Commission cast a unanimous vote to approve Pullman Community Montessori’s charter school application! Come fall of 2021, our community will have expanded diversity in our public school options.
The last 2 weeks have been a blur for myself and my team! Besides preparing for this final Q&A session with Commissioners, we’re taking the condition outlined in our Recommendation Report head on by providing Commission staff with a fully fleshed out 16 page plan. We've engaged in two cycle of revisions with them and are close to satisfying the condition well before the due date! We also collected over 60 signatures of support for PCM over a 24-hour period!
I want to give a big shout out to our community for the support and input! I'd also like share my appreciation for Dr. Maxwell and PSD staff who have met with us during the application period to begin discussing collaboration potential; we look forward to future meetings and partnerships and hope to share our experiences to expand our collective tool kit.
I'd also like to give a big thank you to the PCM founding board: Bev Wolff, Dr. Dorrie Main, John Cassleman, Dr. Henry Merrill, Nomin Batmunkh, and David Powers! It has been an honor to work with them and I look forward to our future work together and with our community!
Thank you Pullman and Congratulations!
