Smoke is an exhibition and engagement project taking place in PS2, Belfast (April 2024) and Projektraum Viktor Bucher, Vienna. Working in collaboration and with a dryly humorous approach, Masuyama and Kessler have developed independent twin responses to themes of domestic and urban space, guerrilla interventions and herbal substances.
This collaboration is sponsored by SIAP - General Art Award, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung, Austria..

「Smoke」は、ベルファストのPS2（2024年4月）とウィーンのprojektraum Viktor Bucherの2会場で開催される展覧会および社会介入である。増山とケスラーは、「煙」という共通のテーマに、共同作業を行いながら、乾いたユーモアを交えたアプローチで、家庭内や都市空間を舞台に、それぞれの切り口で社会介入をゲリラ的に展開している。

　本コラボレーションは、SIAP - General Art Award、北アイルランド・アーツカウンシル、オーストリア教育・科学・研究省の後援を受けている。

「すみだ向島Expo2024」の京島駅での滞在が縁で、Chim↑Pom from Smappa!Groupが芸術監督を務める新宿歌舞伎町で開催する「BENTEN 2024」に京島駅を通して参加することになりました。王城ビルの京島駅のブースで11月2〜3日の2日間、今から20年前に王城ビルの会場横の新宿歌舞伎町公園でゲリラ的に実現した、新宿歌舞伎町プロジェクトを展示させてもらう予定です。

The opportunity to stay at Kyojima Station to participate in Sumida Mukojima Expo 2024 led to my participation in BENTEN 2024, for which Chim↑Pom from Smappa!Group is the artistic director, I will be exhibiting the Shinjuku Kabukicho Project, which was realised guerrilla-style in Shinjuku Kabukicho Park next to Ohjo Building venue 20 years ago, at the Kyojima Station booth in Ojho Building for two days from 2-3 November.

I have been exhibiting 2 works of “Knitting horn covers for a muskox” (Alaska, USA & Greenland, 2023) and “The Blind Humans and the Elephant” (India, 2023) in the “Kyojima Station festival” as a part of “Sumida Mukojima Expo 2024”, Tokyo.
