PASTORAL PAGE THE TIME IS NOW… by Elder Tan Chin Tiong Since 1997, LOVESINGAPORE has been organizing nationwide season of united prayer leading up to our National Day Celebration each year. This year, for our 59th National Day Celebration, they have identified 3 strategic actions for the churches to embark on with great urgency. The time is now for us to act. 1) To Turn Singapore Godward Prior to the pandemic, the percentage of Christians in Singapore has been stagnating. The Covid years have made it worse. Many churches are still experiencing a reduction in attendance for the weekly worship services. APPLICATION FOR BAPTISM/TRANSFER OF CHURCH MEMBERSHIP The second baptism and membership transfer of 2024 is scheduled for 2 and 3 November 2024. All completed application forms for baptism and membership transfer must be submitted to the Church Office via email to office@biblechurch.sg by 1 September 2024 (Sunday). Application Form: MS Word (fillable) / PDF Please note the following requirements: Baptism & Membership transfer applicants – to attend 4 classes scheduled for Sundays 8, 15, 22 and 29 September from 10.30am – 12pm. Membership transfer applicants (should be regular worshippers with the church for at least a year) – please submit your salvation testimony and reason for transfer together with your application.

I LOVE WEST COAST THANKSGIVING AND UPDATES We thank God for the many hands and many helps received from the church to love West Coast in practical ways like gift distribution at Clementi Peaks and the Meet and Greet with our new neighbours from West Coast Parkview. Over the last weekend on 3 and 4 August, many of the residents whom we have befriended via different engagements e.g. Active Ageing activities with St Luke's ElderCare, parents from Clementi Woods Kindergarten and low-income families from Adopt-A-Family, visited the community event. Our hearts are full and filled with thanksgiving for all the friendships and opportunities to bless them in practical ways. A special shout out to the youths and young adults who were helming the games stations, and not forgetting the volunteers from the Chinese and English congregations who had helped in more ways than one. Indeed all glory be to God! |

If you are going through a season of challenges and need emotional support, the Lay Counselling Ministry in the Bible Church would love to pray and journey with you through your struggles and difficulties. Trained counsellors are available to help with pastoral care and short-term counselling for children, youth and adults, including TBC members, regular attendees and those seeking Christian counsel.
