Tomato gardening, though sometimes likened to a hilarious hostage situation ("You haven't watered me in days, human, and I know where you sleep!"), is surprisingly accessible and rewarding, offering fresh produce and a sense of accomplishment you won't soon forget. |

Here's the scoop on using our amazing community amenities: Residents & Amenities: As a River Run Plantation member, you have access to all community amenities, including the pavilion and grill! So, feel free to gather with a few guests (less than 6) for a casual get-together. Just remember to bring your own propane, grill tools, and clean up after yourselves – we all want to keep these spaces enjoyable for everyone. Larger Gatherings (6+ Guests): Thinking of hosting a bigger bash with more than 6 guests, especially if some are from outside the community? To ensure a smooth experience and avoid any scheduling conflicts, it's important to submit a rental application form to the front office. This is not only community policy but also helps guarantee your group's fun isn't interrupted! A minimal fee is applied to account for wear, utilities, and other real-costs. Here's the Bonus: Once you submit the application, the front office will confirm availability. The social committee will then secure the space for your party by marking it as a "private event" or "community wide event" on the community calendar. Plus, the social committee will be happy to assist you with any instructions or resources you might need during your gathering. So there you have it! New Voluntary Resident Directory! While the previous version was beautifully done, it required significant time to produce and update. Our Communications Committee is excited to introduce a new directory that maintains access to the same vital information but with real-time updates for your convenience. A unique form has been developed for residents to input their information, which is then automatically updated in a searchable online sheet. If you've already submitted your details, no further action is needed. For those who wish to add or update their information, simply fill out this linked form. Instructions Directory Form Community Directory Access to this form and the up-to-date directory is available exclusively on the River Run website under the members area. Should you have any questions or comments, please reach out to Ken Koehly (kenkoehly@gmail.com). |

A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated community committee members! While they often work behind the scenes, their efforts are the backbone of what makes River Run such a special place. From securing the best vendors and contractors to the countless little touches that create our unique culture, their hard work keeps our community thriving. They may not seek recognition, but lets share how their contributions are deeply appreciated. So next time you see a committee member, give them a high five, a heartfelt thank you, or a great big hug – they deserve it! |

In the latest initiative by Firewise, community members are invited to provide feedback on identifying buffer areas that could benefit from thinning or clearing to enhance wildfire safety measures. These buffer zones are essential for creating defensible spaces, reducing fire intensity, and aiding firefighting efforts. Residents are encouraged to share their insights with the Firewise Chair to prioritize areas for vegetation management, ensuring effective wildfire mitigation strategies. By actively participating in this collaborative effort, community members can contribute to building more resilient and safer neighborhoods in the face of wildfires. Sincerely, Courtney Ross |
