Akashic Reflection: Maintain Your Truth
Through grace and gratitude, we venture into this holiday season with the utmost respect for ourselves and our loved ones. We begin to navigate this joyous season, with the understanding that all that we are experiencing is for our greatest good. We may choose to consciously commit to a daily practice-- a regimen to help us stay on track, determined, and focused. Some sort of self-care "tool-box" that fills us up each day, to help make sure that we are doing our part to keep the vibration high and connections pure. The last thing that we want is to be overly stressed, feel a lack of direction, or overworked, which all leads to depletion and unhealthy attachments. Instead, we can choose to consciously work towards building firm, solid foundations in our chosen relationships.
So where do we start? Let's keep things simple-- start SOMEWHERE! If you focus on everything that needs to be done, you will easily overwhelm yourself and think that there is not enough time, resources, etc. which is all an illusion created by fear-based thoughts and worries. Instead, I encourage you to focus on this present moment.
1. Identify your needs for this Holiday season-- maybe you have a deep underlying need to feel safe and secure. If so, you may want to commit to balancing and grounding yourself each and everyday, so you can be more present with yourself and those in your surroundings.
2. Give yourself permission to not be perfect-- Often times, we think that we need to "put on a show" or be someone other than who we are. Instead, I encourage you to work towards acceptance-- accept where you are and be excited about where you are headed. You may enjoy creating a list of things that you are grateful for.
3. Don't take anything personally- Realize that everyone, including yourself, is having the perfect experience that is perfect for them in any given situation. Everyone is learning, growing, and evolving in a way that best suits their individual needs at this time. Recognize a situation is not good, it is not bad, it just is. This will save you IMMENSE amounts of time and energy while leading to greater levels of acceptance.
4. Give yourself time to breathe- when we are stressed or uncomfortable, we tend to shallow our breathing patterns and hold tension energetically in our bodies, which creates feelings of discomfort. Become aware of your breathing patterns, by noticing when you start to breathe unnaturally. As soon as you become aware, take a full deep breath and notice how much more comfortable you feel. Deep breaths are MAGICAL!
5. Ask for help when you need it- asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness! Let me say that again-- asking for help is a SIGN of strength not weakness! Sometimes all we need are new perspectives and strategies to overcome current challenges. Have you ever had a conversation, or had a stranger walk up to you, and offer a smile, word of advice, or offer a helping hand? This is grace in action! The right information will ALWAYS be presented to us, but sometimes we have to take the first step and ask for or at least be open to, receiving help! Ask yourself, how open am I to receiving help?
As with anything I relay-- I encourage you to take what resonates, and leave what doesn't-- you are your own best teacher!
Love, peace, and blessings to each of you!
