Eric Bickerton - Guest Speaker Geelong and Werribee crews were treated to a guest speaker session by Eric Bickerton, former Australian Paralympic Guide (with Bronze Medal Winner Jess Gallagher). Eric talked about the emergence of accessible tourism and recreation, the critical role this industry provides to a host of services, and the opportunities it affords to young people interested in tourism related careers. Crew members had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Eric - a big thanks for his generosity of time and travelling down to Laverton for this wonderful event. |

| | R U OK Day @ Laverton Community Hub Both Access Guides crews took part in the annual R U OK? Day at the Laverton Community Hub, our current home for off-site training. Along with mountains of yummy food, crew members mixed it up with some Zumba, Line Dancing (yep you read that right), Henna tattoos, Massages and more. A wonderful event held by LCH in support of RUOK - the national suicide prevention charity that aims to start life-changing conversations. | | |
|
| | Laverton Community Hub & Access Skills Training The Laverton Community Hub provides state of the art training facilities for our crews when they are not on-site working. A big shout out to the Hobsons Bay City Council and the welcoming, flexible and friendly staff at LCH and thanks for their support.
