November - Autumn leaves my fall but we are up and at it embracing Autumn💫
Welcome to Novembers Newsletter! Well done to everyone who joined me in October, we've had a fun month, drawing trees to strengthen our glutes in Pilates, playing Fitness Bingo in the garden and rowing together with towels and bands in Meno-blast and Strong Girl sessions! I've loved every minute, and LOVE the fact you all smile and workout with me! What was going on with all the crazy weather...it was still vest wearing warm In October, which was wonderful, but was so confused about what to wear 😂!

When you think about fitness, what is one word or phrase you associate with it?

Here's some key words I hear all the time linked with fitness: gym - health - strength - running - sweat - calorie burn - weight loss, diet! Sooooo many words! To me, fitness isn't just about pushing limits; it's about taking care of your body and mind. It's about striking the right balance between effort and relaxation.

After Halloween, November kick starts the festive season with parties galore and lots more socialising, so remember move often, and eat as healthily as you can, when you can. Ensure you are getting enough sleep and take that extra time to recharge your batteries and relax!

Quick November healthy YOU tips! - Even if you just pick one, squeezing in one can lead to a healthier, fitter you - and help you survive party season!
 

  1. Increase your cardio kicks...walk, instead of taking the bus or stairs

  2. Add strength training to your week

  3. Aim for 8 hours of sleep per night (or try increase your current hours sleep)

  4. Eat a plate full of rainbow colour goods

  5. Improve flexibility through regular stretching

  6. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily

  7. Reduce sugar and processed food intake where you can

  8. Set a fitness goal by the end of November, ie run / walk a speedy 5km,

  9. Prioritise stress management techniques like meditation

Who wins the race?

When it comes to change, are you a 100 miles per hour person or someone who starts gently and then gradually builds those changes into your life?


We want healthy changes to be part of our forever and sometimes if we give up everything that we love all at once, old habits (the less healthy ones😈) can soon start creeping back in.


Try changing up one little thing at a time, add more veg to dinner, walk a little further on Monday, drop one of the bags of crisps, then perhaps add another next week...see how you get on! I know that I am definitely trying to retrain my body and health to a tortoise beating the hare!!
