september recap & more...

Happy Day, my friends!!!

Fall is here!!! And with it the fresh mornings. What a delight to feel the crisp air in my lungs as I walk my dogs in the morning! The extended hours of fresh air in the morning and evening invigorate my spirit and deepen my gratitude for nature. How blessed I feel to be a witness of the transition as Autumn paints the scenery with its vibrant colors!

Gratitude is what I want to transmit today for this past month of September. It has been incredibly rewarding for WellBeing w/Coach Edna and the mission of extending love and empowering individuals to achieve their peak wellbeing. Since June, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a group of remarkable women to establish Hearts In Mission, a Christian non-profit organization. The organization mission is to provide vital resources to those in need, and offer Spirit-Mind-Body tool for human restoration.

September marked a significant milestone as we began rolling out services to our community. From Outreach initiatives to Freedom Small Group sessions, Group Coaching, and invigorating Physical Activity Classes in the park, we've embarked on an inspiring journey. And trust me, there's much more in the pipeline! The Community Activities page have a link to photos during September activities. Take a look!

Speaking of community involvement, September 23rd saw the first global Walking Meditation, "Walk for the World," led by the renowned Joe Dispenza. The intention was simple yet profound: to unite people around the world in One Hearts and One Mind, creating a future steeped in love and unity. Over 140,000 individuals from 167 countries, including my dear friend Dorota Harrington and me, walked in unison, elevating the planet's consciousness. The personal benefits of inner peace and joy, and the knowledge that we're already shaping a brighter future, were truly empowering.

Below you'll find September blog posts. They show little glimpse of my journey as I walk in the path of personal growth while redefining past belief systems to more empowering ones. In addition you will find two interesting studies. The first one is about the five healthy habit that can extend human lifespan for more than a decade. The other is an intriguing study revealing how brief, vigorous physical activity can reduce the risk of cancer by 32%. Check them out in the News section below.

Finally, If you're up for a challenge, join us for the 4th Annual Move Your Mental Health Challenge happening from October 1 to October 10. It's a wonderful opportunity to prioritize your well-being. Link to the challenge below.

With all this in mind, I wish each of you a strong and vibrant October as you journey your path to WellBeing!

With Gratitude, Coach Edna

Unlocking Longevity: Study Reveals The Impact of Healthy Habits on Lifespan

A study published in Circulation highlights the remarkable influence of behavior on lifespan. Researchers found that individuals who adopted five healthy habits at age 50, including regular exercise, a balanced diet, no smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, and moderate alcohol consumption, extended their lives over a decade to their lives (14 years for women and 12.2 years for men). This study underscores the substantial gains in health and longevity achievable through simple changes in behavior, according to Dr. Meir Stampfer, co-author and professor at Harvard Medical School.

Short Bouts of Vigorous Activity Linked to Reduced Cancer Risk in Non-Exercising Adults: JAMA Oncology Study

In a study involving 22,398 non-exercising adults, researchers found that engaging in as little as 3.4 to 3.6 minutes of vigorous intermittent lifestyle physical activity (VILPA) per day was linked to a notable 17% to 18% reduction in overall cancer risk compared to no VILPA. Specifically, a median daily VILPA duration of 4.5 minutes was associated with a substantial 31% to 32% reduction in physical activity-related cancer incidence. These findings suggest that short daily bursts of VILPA, as brief as 3 to 4 minutes, may hold promise as an effective strategy for reducing cancer risk, particularly for individuals who may be unable or less inclined to engage in traditional leisure-time exercise.
