Fall is here, my favorite time of the year! Does anyone else have time management issues as we approach October, November and December? Having something prepped that can be grabbed is such a lifesaver. I like (need) to unplug on Saturday mornings, find a recipe or two, make a shopping list and head to the farmer’s market or my favorite local grocery store for a little weekly meal prep. It’s my favorite time of the week, my happy place. I spread out everything on the counter, put on some music, pour a beverage and get out the cutting board. I try to prep everything the minute I get home so I don’t get distracted. Recently I made the Harissa Sweet Potato and Couscous Meal Prep salad. Made without lettuce, you can heat it up and then put it on a bed of lettuce for a warm meal, or eating it cold by itself was fab too. |

My recent Breakfast Burrito Salad was definitely a favorite. I love it straight up or made into an actual burrito, toasted with enchilada sauce and/or cheese melted on top. So good! |

It’s the end of harvest season here in Sonoma County. At the beginning of November a bunch of wineries open their doors for the Wine and Food Affair where they pair their current releases with comfort food. I go every year, it’s fabulous. Here’s the link! |

You’ll be able to easily access some of my recipes, learn about The Salad Lab bowls at Holland Bowl Mill, shop my Amazon store for your own lab equipment, cooking tools, and ingredients, and learn all about how I started making fabulous salads every day. I was also recently in Grand Rapids, MI where I visited Holland Bowl Mill to pick out a new bowl! We've been working with them to create a special line of Salad Lab handmade wooden bowls and tossers, so exciting! Stay tuned for some new bowls and deals for the holidays. |
