We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We had a packed house for our Thanksgiving Chapel and Family Breakfast. Thank you to friends and family who were able to spend the morning with us. Legacy has been honored to have area pastors and ministers share during our weekly chapels this year. Pastor Dan Ruben from Fellowship Bible Church in Carson City blessed us with a message of giving thanks and praise to God in all circumstances.
Are you interested in what's happening at Legacy Christian Academy? Are you interested in enrollment? Are you looking for a new ministry to be part of? Stop by our LCA Fall Open House between 6:30-8:00 on 11/29 to see our school, meet our staff and find out more.
Did you get to stop by the Sierra Lutheran High School Craft Fair this year? Our Registrar, Mrs. Potts, and our middle school class and their teacher Mrs. Man, shared about Legacy, offered a free rock painting craft and sold some of the students' handicrafts. Thank you to SLHS for letting us be part of this community event!
As the weather gets colder, our students get to enjoy the beautiful campus that God has provided us. Pictured above: Students escape the cold with some parachute fun in the activity center building. Pictured below: Students enjoy our "snow park" on the northside of the large sanctuary building.
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is a worldwide day of giving. Last year $2.7 billion was raised on #Giving Tuesday throughout the United States. Please consider supporting our online giving platform this fall as we aim to raise funds to better our school and build an eternal foundation into this next generation.
One of my heroes is Dr. Glen Schultz. Maybe you’ve heard of him? He’s the founder of Kingdom Education Ministries, he often writes for this magazine, and he’s been involved in Christian education for more than fifty years. On top of all that, he’s a great guy.
The other day I was reading his blog, and I came across a post titled “Is the Church Falling Apart?” His point is that Christianity in the United States is struggling. The main reason? Believers—even those who attend church regularly—are getting very little Bible instruction. Typically, people go to church once a week; the service is no more than an hour, and the sermon is twenty or thirty minutes.
