Holy crap, guys. Tellus is loose in the world. I'm going to preface this by saying thank you. Thank you for going on this journey with me. For caring, in any way, about my books, my stories, my characters . . . it means everything. The world and more. I could not do this without your friggin INCREDIBLE support, and I'm unbelievably grateful for each and every single one of you. ____ Five years ago, I never thought I'd have two books out by now. Hell, three years ago, when I started working on Imber seriously again, I didn't imagine I would be here. But this release is particularly bittersweet; and I know I'm not done yet. Storytime, for those of you who haven't heard it a million times (and apologies to those of you who have! xD I'll try to be brief!)
When I was 14, I got really into fantasy. That's when I started reading the Lord of the Rings. I was obsessed with the Sky Trillium Saga and the Old Kingdom Saga. I devoured fantasy literature like it was water. Now, at this point in my life I had been writing stories pretty regularly. But they were always contemporary, or horror, because in my younger years I was obsessed with RL Stine, Christopher Pike—horror and mystery of all kinds. I had never written anything novel length. And I was told, over and over, that creative pursuits didn't pay. So I never even considered writing as a path. Not until I was 14, and I had this -idea-. And I couldn't shake it. I started writing, and before I turned 16 I had written a full length novel. |

There she is, in all her printed glory. At this point I started researching publishing seriously. Publishing, especially self publishing, was a very different monster than it is now. But that's for another day. I was motivated, and excited, and determined. I knew, without a doubt, what I wanted to do with my life. This story? These characters? They were it. |

I think by now you know that the story I'm talking about is The Thanatos Trilogy. But life happened. Things got put to the wayside. Writing got put to the wayside, except for the occasional fanfiction. Nat and Camion lived on though, in my head. I thought about them daily. Meryn had a different name, then, and Jyn didn't exist. Andimir was someone else entirely. But they were there. Their story was there, even if it's been reworked into a totally different beast now. So, why the long story? Because today, Tellus enters the world. Because right now, I'm elbow-deep in writing Ventus. 16 years I've had these characters in my head, and now? Now I'm writing the ending. And I am an absolute puddle of feels today, releasing another part of my soul into the world.
I'm doing what I wanted, what I always wanted. And I have YOU to thank.
Grateful isn't strong enough. |

Lately I've been keeping a precarious balance; one eBook, one physical. I'm trying to get my obnoxious number of "currently reading" books down xD Anyone else have this problem? |

Tallis is learning how to deal with loss and violence as she and her friends traverse the forests of Selkirk trying to find the reason behind the elven uprising. Not to mention why they keep hissing her name. But the further into the forests they go, Tallis is finding that the elves’ depravity can still surprise her and thoroughly test the bonds of friendship, family, and love.
Tallis’s journey eventually leads to answers they’re not prepared for. Now Tallis begins to wonder just who she really is, and if she’s the evil that will end up destroying Selkirk. But she cannot stop processing these revelations, as an unforeseen betrayal lands those she loves at the feet of the very monster responsible for all the hurt and heartbreak.
Coming face to face with her foe, Tallis discovers all too late she has no idea how to deal with this level of pain and death.
One way or another, the monster’s path ends here, and all Tallis can hope to do is bring those she loves safely out of the heart of the forest. ____________________ I'm not too far into this one yet, around 100 pages, but so far it's an awesome sequel! I'm enjoying seeing the characters together again and the worldbuilding is fantastic. So much recommend if you love fantasy!

Angel of music. Instrument of justice. As the fashionably veiled operatic sensation of Landry City, Claire Leroux is adored by the masses. But Claire must never let her fans discover what hides behind her mask--a body that’s half-machine and hellbent on vengeance. Offstage, Claire hunts for the man whose violent act made her a cyborg and killed her parents. The people of Landry City might despise cyborgs, but her home is all she has left, and Claire means to protect it. Just when her double life leads her straight to the enemy’s door, an unexpected factor enters the equation: Claire’s long lost love, Isabelle Chagny. Even if Iz can accept Claire’s transformation, Claire isn’t willing to risk her ex’s safety. But Iz and her companions are already entangled with Claire’s nemesis, and if she wants to save her home, she’ll need to decide: fight alone in the shadows to save the city that hates her, or form an alliance--and risk the only woman she’s ever loved in the process. Inspired by Gaston Leroux’s the Phantom of the Opera, Phantom Song is the second novella in the Toccata System trilogy. __________________ Last newsletter I shared the first book in this trilogy, Parting Shadows, and guys. It was AMAZING. Then I realized this beauty was based off Phantom of the Opera and I didn't need to hear more. Bonus! It's $.99 on Kindle for a few days! :3

Welp. I fell back into World of Warcraft this month. I've been playing this game since like 2011. I LOVE this game. (I have the Horde symbol tattooed on my forearm, after all!) But I dropped out of it for a while. Life, writing . . . and the fact that I wasn't enjoying the story anymore. Now, though, now I need answers—and I've been sucked right back in. xD |

Let Me Down Slowly — Alec Benjamin I'm obsessed. It's mellow and chill, a bit sad. I've added it to the Ventus playlist but honestly it works for the Genesis Crystal Saga too. <3

Short Change Hero — The Heavy I've been playing a lot of Borderlands lately, and this song always reminds me of Borderlands!! It's also pretty chill, but I definitely bop along. The beat is catchy!
