This week over 1000 Neighbourhood and Community Centres across Australia celebrated Neighbourhood House Week.  This year's theme was "Bringing People Together- from your neighbourhood to your nation".  We highlighted many celebrations on our facebook page here:

The Community Services Industry Alliance has released a free Business Maturity Scorecard for community service organisations.  Designed in partnership with the Queensland Family and Child Commission, it's an excellent way for Neighbourhood and Community Centres to track how their organisational structure is progressing:

Member for Glasshouse MP Andrew Powell has expressed concerns in the Sunshine Coast Daily about the lack of funding received by Neighbourhood Centres, including Maleny Neighbourhood Centre.  A number of Neighbourhood Centres in his electorate receive no Neighbourhood Centre funding at all.  You can read more in his media release below:
