Dear Breathers,
Kalo Mina! Happy December!
Out of all the months of the year, I think the tender month of December is the one that holds the most stories of miracles and faith.
Let’s be real, and say December can also hold melancholy, loneliness or stress too.
The thing is, each and every one of us is a story teller. We tell ourselves stories of how things are, and we tell our stories to others too. At night we dream and, in the day, we move through our latest version of the story. It all feels like truth, until a moment comes and we have an illumination. Every once in a while, we have these awakenings, and we realize we can make our stories work better for us if we make some changes in how we ourselves think and act. We wake up in a sense to our own light. Life and its colors seem to brighten. We rise in a sense of fulfillment, and there appears warmth in us, that makes us glow.
I love those times, don’t you?
Sometimes we even realize that if we take time to listen to others, it makes them glow too.
Even as I write this to you, I hear my own self saying, well isn’t that a miracle too? And an action of faith?
I just looked out the window, I wanted to see the stars.
In a few minutes I will send you this note,
and you might look up too
and ponder your melancholy and miracles.
It all feels like love and the magic of December.
“There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky; there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.”
― Victor Hugo,
Let's breathe consciously for thirty minutes and follow with a third eye meditation for another ten minutes.
It's a good idea to have your journal nearby, as you may want to write down some insights when you finish. It's also nice to have a candle or two lit, a glass of water, or tea, a pillow, and a blanket (you will be lying down). On the zoom screen, you have the choice to keep your camera on or off. Do what feels best for you. This is about you creating a practice space that feels extra special.
Below is your invitation to the Breathing Meditation. Please share it freely, all are welcome.
With Love,
Lucy
