Welcome to THE BUZZ #2

(official newsletter for The Queanbeyan Hive)

What’s this about?

The Queanbeyan Hive is for everyone.

We are a mum and dad team working hard to create a beautiful, family friendly, screen-free environment that supports grass roots communities, creativity and culture.

We are in the running for funding but need community votes to get it.
Until 15 August, people in our electorate of Monaro can vote.
Which ever project gets the most votes, gets the funding.

If we are successful, we will host activities as chosen by you, the community.
Artists and community groups will get free or affordable access to this beautiful building and spacious back garden. The Hive will be able to stay alive as a cultural hub.

If you would like to know more you can visit The Hive on Saturday 10th August and cast your vote then. https://www.qbnhive.buzz/events-1/my-community-project-open-day

If you live in Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, Googong and the Monaro region

If you have friends and family who are eligible please share pass this on.

Are you involved in the arts in the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area?

Queanbeyan’s new cultural hub The Queanbeyan Hive is hosting the first of a series of meetings designed to bring artistic and cultural leaders together to swap ideas, brainstorm potential collaboration opportunities and learn from each other’s experiences. This first Creative Connect meeting seeks to activate a network of like-minded people who share a vision of building community through arts and culture. Among the topics at this first meeting will be the future direction of this new group – what should it do, how often should it meet, what other venues may be available for hosting future Creative Connect meetings. The Queanbeyan Hive is proud to support arts and culture in our region and we invite you to come along and get involved - it is up to us to make it happen.
