I was having lunch with my friend Katy recently (an expert line dance instructor). She asked me, “Do you like line dancing?” Immediately I responded, “Oh, I’m not a line dancer! I have no coordination and don’t even own a pair of cowboy boots!”

Later (after teaching a class on “Limiting Beliefs”) I realized that this was one of mine…I’ve NEVER even line danced in my life! How can I say I’m not a line dancer if I’ve never tried it? It got me thinking about other things that might be hidden from my view (like a computer operating system running in the background) that could be stopping me or hindering my growth.

Reserving the option to like or not like line dancing, I realized it could be limiting my many options for moving my body in fun and new ways. Want to go try line dancing with me?

A friend and I were talking recently about ChatGPT.  Truthfully, I don’t know that much about artificial intelligence and often wonder how the world-wide-web even works?!?  So, I asked it to update and shorten my speaking bio…and this is what it came up with (word-for-word):

“Chalice Springfield is a passionate and inspiring motivational speaker, personal coach, and trainer. She has over 20 years of expertise in the area of motivational speaking and received certified training as a personal coach.  She has spoken at National Conferences and in Colorado for various groups, non-profits and businesses. Chalice believes in and embodies a life that is full of Mondo Beyondo possibilities where “daring greatly” is a routine item on the to-do list. She is the founder of Unstoppable Curiosity, a company dedicated to helping individuals and teams reach their full potential.”

Bravo AI.  And…a little unnerving, too.  I can see why English teachers are a little unsettled by this new technology.

I don’t watch much TV. But, the one show I do watch is launching their 3rd

season on March 15th—"Ted Lasso” on Apple TV will fill you with goodness,

laughter, kindness and optimism.

That’s my kind of TV.
