MYCincinnati Takes The Stage At #PHCCF After 2 intense weeks of rehearsal, students took the stage at the Price Hill Creative Community Festival for an exciting performance. Students performed original music, poetry, compositions, and a selection of music by women composers and instrumentalists. We were so proud to share the amazing accomplishments of the students with our community! Thanks to everyone who came out to support this event, which was truly a joyful celebration of music, community, and young people. |

Homesteading Program Welcomes14th Family!A new family will be moving into a home on Akochia Avenue, a quiet cul-de-sac north of Glenway off of First Avenue. They are the 14th family in our Homesteading program which provides a pathway to homeownership for people with non-traditional credit but who are willing to put work into their new home. The family of five has already painted the majority of the home’s interior and will continue making improvements over the next five years. Our 15th home is mostly complete with the exception of some repairs being made to the garage roof. This home on Seton Avenue was a joint venture with Elder High School. Elder students and faculty have been doing interior construction and repairs so another family can have a safe and stable environment in which to live. Elder is calling this a “Klusman Home” in honor of Mr. Mark Klusman, a graduate and long-time faculty member of the school, who passed away tragically doing community service in late 2017. The selection/matching process has begun to find just the right family for the three-bedroom, two-bath home complete with a purple (for Elder !) door. |

Community Art Created for Incline Run Mary Anne Cowgill has been working hard on the mosaic planter project for the Incline Run in preparation for installation! The planters will include handmade tiles designed and made by students from Oyler, Roberts Academy, St. William, and the Groundwork Ohio River Valley Green Team. Our tile workshops over the last two months were a huge success and we’re thrilled to receive additional support in materials from the Western Hills Home Depot. Local graphic artist Simon Shakespeare is finishing up the brochure for the already-installed brochure stand so keep your eyes out and pick one up to follow the historical route through East Price Hill that starts at the Incline Run. |
