5 FACTS TO SHARE
1.) The proposed Community Aircraft Hangar, also known as Hangar 3, could be used by North Lake Tahoe and Truckee communities for several things such as STEM-oriented programs, art gallery openings, band/athletic team practices and much more! Just schedule a time once it's built. Visit our website to learn about the Community Aircraft Hangar which includes a link to the Concept Study. Click here.

2.) The Community Aircraft Hangar, Hangar 3 noted above is NOT the $12 million hangar proposed 4 years ago that would have included a restaurant, terminal space for charter aircraft, and flight training center.
3.) Aircraft noise mitigation will only happen once the Airport Board approves investing more in the Airport, specifically to upgrade the secondary runway. Currently the majority of aircraft arrive and depart on only one runway.
4.) In review of the 2017 Economic Impact of the Truckee Tahoe Airport Study, here are a few ways the Airport benefits the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee economy:
- On and around the airport, there are approximately 45 businesses that estimate the airport’s operations account for approximately 22 percent of their business revenues.
- In 2017, revenue passengers utilizing the airport brought approximately $30 million of direct spending to the local economy.
- Altogether in 2017, visitors spent $6.6 million on accommodations (2.9 percent of District activity), and $9.7 million on food and beverage (6.7 percent of District activity).
5.) We are both highly qualified to hold Director positions on the Truckee Tahoe Airport Board in addition to being extremely passionate about working with North Lake Tahoe and Truckee residents.
