SEPTEMBER SHOUTOUT

LET'S TALK ABOUT A "SEPTEMBER RESET"

Typically my favorite month of the year, I always say “September is the new January," a chance to reset, realign, and restart. However, this year feels vastly different than other Septembers. Summer didn't end with my kids going back to school, instead I have my kids at home. My work is very different given the inability to be together in a training setting or consulting setting. I'm still doing some in-office coaching and plenty of virtual coaching and training, but it’s not the same. Furthermore, mainly the rhythms of our world are just “off” right now. Amiright?

Whatever you’re feeling, I’m convinced there is absolutely no RIGHT or WRONG way to do anything right now. We need to just keep showing up in the best way we can—and that is good enough!

The following article and podcast are two resources I've found to help me with my personal "September Reset".

This month's takeaway tool is an invitation to attend my upcoming Zoom talk with SABER on Thursday, September 10th.
I'll be tackling the question: "How in the world am I supposed to be productive during a Pandemic?" See below for more information.

What I LISTENED to...

This summer as wonky as it was found our family on a 35 day road trip across the country.  We put almost 6,000 miles on the family truckster and saw some of our most favorite people, spent time at the Lake in Minnesota with the family and had many many family experiences that had us continually chanting ... "WE CAN DO HARD THINGS"!  :)

Our theory is that if it doesn't push you out of your comfort zone, it won't teach you anything and we have always extended that learning to our kids.  Speaking of kids, they built a LOT of resiliency in the Summer of 2020!  With that said, we also of course listened to hours of podcasts while cruising the freeways... our faves:
