E komo mai (Welcome)! We are excited to have you as an E Ala E Hawaiian Cultural Center (EHCC) member! As an EHCC member, you’re entitled to exclusive prices and benefits, which are not offered to the general public. In addition, you will enjoy special pricing and will be given priority when signing up for events, workshops and seminars, some of which will have limited seating. Just before events go public, you will receive a “heads up, for-members-only” email from us so that you can sign up immediately once the event is announced. Hawaiian Style Series

 

Cooking | Hawaiian Style with Chef Ola of Aloha Cr3w

On Saturday, March 23, 2019 in this cooking and dining series, you'll learn to cook like a local, Hawaiian-style! Join Chef Ola, from Aloha Cr3w, in preparing your own onolicious (delicious) steamed laulau (pork and fish wrapped in lu'au leaf, steamed). Then, stay to enjoy the fruits of your labor at a mini lu'au with Hawaiian entertainment. Early registration for members starts Saturday, March 2, 2019 and on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 resistration opens to the public.

Mind.Body.Spirit | Hawaiian Style with Keone Nunes

Save the date: Friday, May 10 - Saturday, May 11, 2019 (Registration to be announced)

Uhi (Hawaiian tattoo) expert Keone Nunes, who was here in Dec., 2018 to share the Art and History of Tatau (Tattoo). He’ll return to showcase his work by tattooing a select few EHCC members. Keone is known world-wide for sharing the cultural significance of uhi. Keone will also share how la`au lapa`au (healing), lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage), and tatau tie into traditional and medicinal practices.
