Tip o' the Week

for Your International Teaching Job Search

Julia Walker: TCK, Podcaster, and

soon-to-be Guest-Blog Writer for JPMint:

I first learned of Julia Walker when I heard her being interviewed on episode #10 of the International Teacher Podcast by Greg, Kent & Matt (see Tip #16). Julia grew up as a daughter of international school teachers, moving from Canada to Egypt and then Singapore, spending the majority of her years overseas. She hosts the podcast Across Oceans, where she discusses what it was like growing up abroad as a TCK (Third-Culture Kid). After graduating high school, she returned to her passport-country, Canada, to study at Dalhousie University and is now currently working on her master's in Switzerland.

I've invited Julia to guest-write a series of articles on Third-Culture Kids to inform us of what it's like on the other side of the student desk, moving from country to country. Keep an eye out for these interesting articles soon to be published at JPMint Consulting, with the first one appearing next week!
