Of the billions of planets in existence, none are as perfect or as beautiful as our home planet we call Earth. But Earth is in danger. Human advancements are threatening her ability to sustain life. How can we balance between our need for advancement and our planet’s ability to sustain our ambitions?

One Earth is a game for 1-5 players. You and your friends play as one of Earth’s mighty nations, competing to ensure your citizens prosper and maintain the highest living standards. However, you must also work together to ensure the survival of our planet!

How To Play

One Earth is a turn-based game player over several rounds. During your turn, you earn currency. You may then use that currency to fund "Projects".  By doing so, you increase your country's prosperity but may increase collective greenhouse gas "Emissions". In a standard game, the first player to score 20 prosperity points  while maintaining global emissions at a safe level wins. However, if "Global Emissions" (emitted by all players) reach 30 or more, everyone loses. Thus, players must balance between their individual objective of gaining prosperity and the group's objective of keeping climate change under control. This unique tension between individual and collective goals is what makes this game so much fun!

During the game, you may also fund "Technologies" and "Climate Policies" that help improve your prosperity and/or reduce "Emissions". You must also contend with climate change "Events" and economic "Sanctions" voted on by players that will affect your plan. All this makes One Earth an easy to learn but a game that requires a lot of strategic thinking and diplomacy with other players. Best of all, One Earth can be taught in less than 5 minutes and typically takes 20-40 minutes to play.
