Come "Write" In! It's National Novel Writing Month! National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, runs midnight, Nov. 1, through 11:59 p.m., Nov. 30, challenging writers to compose a brand new, 50,000-word novel in 30 days. Come work on your writing project or NaNoWriMo word count with other writers! The Main Library in Rock Hill will host “Come Write In” sessions, Tuesdays, Nov. 2, 16, and 30, from 5–6:30 p.m. Plenty of outlets will be available for charging laptops and other devices, but registration is required, as space is limited. Family Storytime in the Park: Join us at Miracle Park on Monday, Nov. 8, from 4–4:30 p.m. for an outdoor, family-friendly storytime filled with stories, songs, and more! Come early to check out books from the Bookmobile. No registration is required and children of all ages are welcome. - The Children's Department at the Main Library in Rock Hill will be closed to the public Monday, Nov. 15, while new furniture is installed.
- All YCL locations will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 25 – Sunday, Nov. 28, for Thanksgiving.
- Friends Books on Main will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25, for Thanksgiving and will resume normal operating hours Friday, Nov. 26 – Saturday, Nov. 27.
