A new sense of working together – and our first Global Members' Conference on June 8 & 9 |
|
|
Dear friends, Perhaps it’s just me but in the last couple of weeks it has felt as if the doom and gloom of the impact of Covid has begun to change. Not because the pandemic is over. Communities are still suffering. But out of the chaos and pain is emerging a new sense of working together. In the last three days we have had discussions with four major new partner networks form the financial world who want to be part of the change that FaithInvest embodies. There is a new energy now, as if things have been developing quietly around the world and now the search is on for others who share a renewed sense of opportunity to make this a more just, compassionate, environmental and sustainable planet. As we plan our first Global Members’ Conference for June 8 and 9 (see below for details), I believe we will see that around the world and in every major faith, there are partners who want to be part of creating these new opportunities – as project pipelines; as investors; as faith philanthropies and development agencies; and as individual believers. Personally I am excited by what is now believed to be possible – and I very much look forward to seeing you at our Members' Conference! |

Member Portal: We're very close to launching our Member Portal, which will be a key tool in our efforts to support members to shift capital into faith-consistent investment opportunities. This will be where: - Members can will safely and securely interact with each other online
- Member Work Groups will take place on topics such as:
- creating a Manager Database
- looking at commingled vehicles and
- creating interesting investment opportunities.
Membership Fees: We had originally planned to charge Membership fees from April 2021 but as you know, our programme of events and activities last year could not take place as planned due to the pandemic. As a result we are extending our period of free membership, and hope you will join us as we launch our range of projects, our Member Portal, and our first Global Members’ Conference. We want to build momentum and demonstrate value before we charge fees, and therefore do not anticipate charging any membership fees before Q4 of 2021. When fees are charged, any smaller organisations which may require assistance should discuss this with us. For further queries, please contact us at membership@faithinvest.org. |
