November Newsletter

Whoop, whoop! DRUM ROLLL, please... It might have taken me a bit longer than I had anticipated but I am delighted to say my new website is now live. I hope you like it as much as I do...

Thank you to everyone who took the time to write a testimonial or client blog - your kind words mean the world to me. For an independent travel agent, good word of mouth is so important.

If you would like to share your experiences or recommendations, I would love to receive them. If you're not keen on writing but would love to share your experience, that's not a problem. I can provide some questions to assist or I can create the blog for you from your notes and images.

As always I do love receiving feedback and hearing about your holidays and trips...

Latest Government Updates

COVID Booster

Good news for travellers... From 19 November, anyone who has had a booster or a third dose will be able to show their vaccine status on the NHS COVID Pass.

This means that those who have had their booster or third dose can travel to countries, including Israel and Croatia, which have introduced a time limit for the vaccine to be valid for quarantine-free travel.

Health and social care secretary, Sajid Javid, said: "We want to make it as easy as possible for people to show their vaccine status if they are travelling abroad."

It is not currently necessary to show evidence of a booster for travel into England.

NHS COVID Pass

If you are planning on travelling and have already printed out your COVID Pass letter, please check your printout to make sure it is dated from 1 November 2021 onwards.

If you printed a PDF of your COVID Pass from the NHS app or website before Monday 1 November 2021, you should print another copy.

This is to ensure that your certificate can be scanned successfully. The NHS COVID Pass is now linked to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

How to access your NHS COVID Pass

There are two ways to access your NHS COVID Pass:

1) Via the NHS App

Open the app

Select 'Get Your NHS COVID Pass'

Select 'Domestic' or 'Travel'

2)    Via the NHS website

The UK's Travel Red List

On Thursday 18 November, the transport secretary, Grant Shapps, confirmed that the UK’s Travel Red List will remain as it is for another three weeks.

However, this will continue to be reviewed on a three-weekly basis, leaving time for government to act ahead of Christmas if it considers any action is necessary.

If we are to have a pre-Christmas update, it would possibly be announced on 9 December, with any changes coming into effect in the week beginning 13 December.

Let’s watch this space and keep everything crossed.

From The Blog

Woah, I’m going to Barbados!

At the end of September, Jonathan and I were fortunate to have travelled to Barbados. Wow! It's such a beautiful island with so much to see, do and discover! We stayed at Sandals Royal Barbados which was very indulgent with 19 restaurants, a donut shop, bowling alley, craft beer bar, English pub, roof top bar and swimming pool, the softest sand and to top it all off we had a butler for three of the ten nights...

Bucket List Travel: Walking Holidays

Now that the world is almost all open again, it's the time to brush the cobwebs off our bucket lists! And walking holidays are proving to be popular, both in the UK and further afield...

I, like many of us, developed a love of walking and have discovered places and sights I didn’t know about. I even completed a virtual walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats, covering a distance of 950.7 miles! My bucket list includes climbing Kilimanjaro...

Check out my recent blogs about walking holidays in Scotland and Ibiza...
