Writing Journey - COVER REVEAL!

Covers and titles either come easily or are painfully hard. Titles usually come to me fairly early in the process, although my fourth novel was called "Book 4" for over a year. I'm still not entirely pleased with its title.

Covers are the same. I fell in love with the second iteration of the cover for La Paloma the minute I saw it. If you haven't downloaded this free prequel to Tequila Midnight, click here for your copy.

Tequila Midnight's cover was far more difficult. See below for some of the covers considered. Fortunately, the professionals at Best Page Forward understood what suspense readers want to see on a cover and chose the version on the right. In the end, I realized the cover doesn't have anything to do with how the author pictures the novel. Instead, it is a promise to the reader.

The eBook version of Tequila Midnight is available for preorder now,

and the print and audio versions will be available soon.

Big Bend National Park, Texas

I first moved to the Desert Southwest when I was twelve years old. I've left and returned to this landscape throughout my life, thinking I was escaping, yet always drawn back. It is a part of the world I both love and love to write about. Few people know the beauty and harshness that coexist in the desert. It is a place that tends to hide its appeal.

Book Recommendations

As I get ready to launch Tequila Midnight, I've had the opportunity to join authors offering free reads to new subscribers. My novella, La Paloma, is included in these promotions.
