Last week our women's group braved swarms of mosquitoes and muddy fields to cut some brightly colored zinnias at a local farm. It was our first gathering since the Covid-19 shutdown and was such a nice way to see some familiar faces and meet some new friends. Nature connections are the best!

This week we're savoring family time as our college-bound boys gradually stack up their dorm gear in preparation for their move-in next week. As many tests as they've taken to prove themselves academically ready, it's surreal to be waiting results from a Covid test to be eligible to go to campus!

During this time of transition to school schedules and the recent occurrence of some significant family events, I've been relying on the  daily boost from our 31 Days of Comfort series.

The Lord has anticipated our needs and blesses us with reminders of His truth when we need it most. A reader left a comment the other day about how encouraging these verses have been as she realized how much she's needed comfort in these uncertain days without being mindfully aware of this need. I told her we're probably all in a "hug deficit" status right now so that these words of affirmation are even more important to our soul health.

The beauty of God's Word is that these verses don't ever expire. You can download the 31 Days of Comfort reference list and/or the 31 Comfort verses and dive into them whenever you want. You can refer to these selections next year or during your next tender time. The reassurance is always there.

The SUNBURST template has been shining brightly this month. I've used it several times to share some uplifting verses with friends and family going through some challenges. Creating pages for other people is very grounding for me, so it's mutually beneficial when both the giver and the receiver is blessed by the Word.

I've been playing around with printing templates on different colors of card stock, which provides a burst of background color.

Have you tried this yet?

Pray it Forward...

My momma's heart is preparing for the launch of TWO sons this fall, praying over their safety and for each of them to follow the Lord's path for them.

My devotional reading in John 15 this morning was a sweet reminder of our connectedness in Christ. I Bible Quilted this passage into one of my son's journals, honing my prayer over him to ABIDE in Christ throughout this school year and beyond. The Passion version uses the phrase "life-union" which really highlights the mutual commitment of our relationship in Christ, allowing the Lord to nurture and prune us along the way so that we can bear fruit for His eternal glory.

What topics are heavy on your heart that lend themselves to create some Bible Quilting pages to help you process??

We'll be back around the virtual BQ table this week if you want to chat!
