Some things we are thinking about this Black History/Black Futures month, from the Blog and beyond:

30th Harvard President Gay's resignation hit hard. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs are under attack. What can we do? Continue to display Black Excellence and ignore the haters. This is a long game, and the reason these programs are being targeted is because THEY WORK. So keep on, stay strong, and justice will triumph in the end.

The First Black Bank in America!

The FREE AFRICAN SOCIETY founded in 1787. The FAS was founded in the spring of 1787 in Philadelphia, shortly before the Constitutional Convention was held in the city.

An article published today from Harvard Professor Khalil Gibran Muhammad. He writes: "we must be courageous, stand together and continue teaching the truth"

A Black History Lecture we LOVE

Bryan Stevenson, the bestselling author of Just Mercy, and the director of the Equal Justice Initiative, gave an incredible speech at the UN last year. It's long, but it's worth every second.

Lastly...What would Black Culture be without music? This book of essays, published in the UK but with lots of references to African Americans, has a joyful playlist--Happy Black History Month!
