Welcome to my newsletter for March. I cannot believe that we are well into the first quarter of 2023! Last month I told you about my nomination for 'Authoress of the Year 2022' by US 'Aspiring Authors Magazine.' The awards ceremony was held on 11th February in Atlanta Georgia US and was hosted by none other than the Founder Ms. Angela Thomas Smith.

I was a virtual attendee being resident in the UK but it was great to connect with other nominees. Many congratulations to all the winners, including Blaque Diamond for 'Authoress of the Year 2022.' However, as you can see from the photo below, I did not go away empty handed! My thanks to Angela and her team and to all of you, my listeners and co-learners for your continued support.

I'm looking forward to this month's focus which is 'International Women's Day 2023'. As a school leader I'll be presenting a special assembly for the pupils at my school with a focus on women authors to link it with World Book Day.

However, I was looking through some of the online and real events being held here in the UK and I'm looking forward to participating in Leading Equitable Schools: success stories from Female Leaders and also IWD 2023: Centering Experiences of Black Women and Girls.
