When defending the Catholic doctrines of creation It’s all about History - not Natural Science

How many Catholic prelates and laymen try to explain the origin of all things by observable, natural processes, without acknowledging that direct creation by God is done apart from those observable, natural processes, with “power and perfection…” that “exceed the comprehension” of their training?

Our second work, which will help us overcome this side effect of naturalism, is The Catholic Church: An Epitome of Sacred History, by Mrs. Morell. This work, like the first of our series, uses the phrase, “Sacred History”, even making it into the title itself! A lengthy approbation is included from Bishop Gillis of Scotland,

This work from the latter half of the 19th century, holds to the Catholic Church's perennial teachings on the strict, literal, historical interpretation of Genesis.  We will continue now with our five-part series on the “ABCs of Catholic Reality”.
