Do you ever feel like you're battling against the odds? Sometimes we wonder if our persistence is going to pay off, then the Lord sends us encouragement in a sweet way. 🌸
Throughout the summer heat I've been trying to maintain my daily walks, trudging sweatily up a hill where these flowers have been stubbornly blooming through a dirty curbside crack. They have brightened my attitude each time I've passed by them.
One day this past week the flowers were no longer there. 😕
Instead I received my daily dose of steadfast flowers via an email from a Bible Quilting friend in Houston. "This pretty flower is growing out of a hard place on our driveway. My granddaughters are here from Long Island and I showed them this perfect example of how the Lord helps us be content and bloom wherever we are. "
It was a lovely Godwink to remind me to stay the course and it renewed my my efforts on content development for the 2023 Monthly BQJ on a day in which the details seemed overwhelming. (thank you, Raini!)
