A year ago, we learned that our worlds were changing. We did not imagine then that the impact on our individual lives and our institutions would be so dramatic. There have been a variety of challenges for all of us. As is the case with challenges, this has been an opportunity to come together and strengthen our community, to clarify our values, as well as to stretch ourselves and learn new skills. We would like to share with you this adventure we call life at The Mountain. The generosity of people who care about The Mountain has inspired us to move forward with a variety of projects that will make a difference for the future of this special place. Our old-growth oak forest at The Mountain is 400-600 years old, one of the oldest in the country. |
Much has been learned from our oak trees – they have been challenged by the harsh weather and they have persevered. We take inspiration from these amazing trees. |

These various sources of support have made the difference in many accomplishments. As we continue working toward being an exemplary center, your support will continue making a difference. This can be done through donations, which could be set up monthly, stock transfers, donating the Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA. Your support may be applied to the Annual Campaign, special projects, or The Mountain Endowment Fund – whichever you prefer. Thinking ahead to Giving Tuesday, May 5, we have a $50,000 matching fund – Everything you contribute will be matched up to $50,000. You can be part of making a the difference for The Mountain mission. Your generosity is sincerely appreciated. |

We are in the beginning stages of planning for new housing and an Environmental Education Center building as part of our Many Hands Peace Farm. It is not acceptable to allow our staff to live in substandard housing. The trailers at the base are being removed and we are developing a housing plan which would align our Mountain core values with our practices. |
