Updates from the Project

The third Transnational Access call: StoRIES launched the third Transnational Access (TNA) call for research and innovation projects under the call topic “Solutions for hybrid energy storage systems”. The topic addresses a multitude of different energy storage technologies and their combinations for enabling long duration energy storage, from several hours to months, which is explicitly open to all technology readiness levels (TRLs). The deadline is on 31 July 2023. We are looking forward to receiving your research proposals! Read more

 

The second StoRIES International Researcher Exchange Programme (IREP) call: The second StoRIES IREP call with the topic “Technologies for improving Hybrid Energy Storage Applications including research to Accelerate Materials Discovery for energy storage materials” was opened. The IREP offers researchers from countries participating in Horizon 2020, free of charge access to world-leading international research infrastructures or devices. The deadline for applications is on 15 August 2023. Read more

 

StoRIES coordinator appointed professor at Sapienza University of Rome (IT): Stefano Passerini, the coordinator of StoRIES, has taken up a new position as professor at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Sapienza University in Rome. Congratulations! He remains the coordinator of StoRIES project and a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Helmholtz Institute Ulm of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

 

UECT Excellence Award: On June 14, 2023, StoRIES' coordinator Stefano Passerini has been awarded the UECT Excellence Award of the Ulm Electro Chemical Talks. Congratulations!

The first StoRIES Summer School entitled "REPowerEU and the need for energy storage in Europe" was held at the Cyprus Institute and the Energy Institute of the Cyprus Institute PROTEAS from 29 May to 1 June 2023 with the attendance of 19 young scientists from and beyond the StoRIES consortium.

The fourth StoRIES project meeting was held on 1 June 2023 at the Cyprus Institute in Nicosia and gathered more than 40 participants both online and in person.

On 23 March 2023 the StoRIES coordination team of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) organised the StoRIES – FLORES – EERA JP ES Workshop on Applications for Hybrid Energy Storage in Karlsruhe.
