How are you connecting the dots between violence prevention and oppression/equity work? Watch the video below to learn about the connection:

Many of us know the importance of connecting the dots but HOW do we? Check out this great workshop to sharpen your toolbox.

#MMIWG2S is a prime example of how oppression leads to higher rates of violence. We are currently in the awareness week for #MMIWG2S so let's focus on this important cause!

According to Amnesty International, the reservation setting is a "Maze of Injustice". When tribal jurisdiction is not allowed to prosecute certain crimes it creates a climate with no accountability for perpetrators. The United States did not allow prosecution of non natives until the latest Violence Against Women Act provision. This does not mean the issue will be solved. In 2010, certain rights were granted but not all tribes can access these even to this day. The process is slow and justice is hard to get. Watch the next video to understand other issues that have encouraged violence against Indigenous Americans.
