July is here and summer is in full effect. It has been insanely hot here in middle Tennessee, between the humidity and the mosquitoes... I'm done with summer. The one good thing about this time of year is our goat kids are weaned and we are getting plenty of amazing goat milk! We will be making soap today and fingers crossed this recipe will be the winner and we can start selling it! I know there are several of y'all who are excited for some Goats Milk Soap!

We have been making a lot of Goat Milk Lotion lately and this week I decided to finally add our moisturizing Goat Milk Lip Balm to our shop! After several months of testing and ensuring this product was ready to sell... we finally have it! We are launching this product with our Vanilla Mint Goat Milk Lip Balm! I am obsessed with this lip balm and all my product testers have raved about it! Be sure to check it out and snag a jar of our luxurious Goat Milk Lotion too!

In farm news, July brings the departure of several of our goat kids and our sweet Amelia. Y'all know she is our favorite and we wanted so bad to keep her, but we don't have a buck to breed her to and it just wouldn't be fair to her to keep her here. We posted her, along with a few other goats and she was snagged almost immediately. No surprise there! We couldn't be more excited about her new home. She will be going to Echo Run Farms and I am confident she is going to have a great life on their farm. I will absolutely be an emotional mess when she leaves this week, but I know she will be going to the best home!

July is also TRANSFER MONTH or at least that is what I have decided to call it. We are just 15 days away from our FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) and then we have our TWW (Two Week Wait) to find out if our embaby boy successfully implanted or if we will face another loss. So basically July will be all about our embaby boy. I have had so many emotional ups and downs as we get closer to his transfer but God is so faithful and gracious to me. He answered my prayers loud and clear. He saw my fear and met me with love and peace. All I can say is the God is good.

We trust Him with our family and our farm.

FAVORITE THINGS

  1. This past month we were able to attend the Homestead Festival and it was such a blessing. We got to learn from some amazing farmers and homesteaders. God challenged our hearts and brought some much needed encouragement to our souls. We can't wait for next year's festival!

  1. Our Moisturizing Goat Milk Lip Balm is amazing, if I do say so myself. It is available now.

Limited quantities available until we get our next supply shipment in!

  1. Jordan and I have missed going to sporting events so much! Before moving to our farm, we were always attending games.. hockey, football, basketball, baseball, we were there. We decided that we needed to find time to enjoy a few games now and then... and just a few days later someone offered us free tickets to the Nashville SC game! God is so good and He provides for our needs, even the littlest and seemingly insignificant ones.

  1. I have shared this Loré Pemberton calendar before, but turning the page to a new month brought my heart a little smile. July is transfer month and this picture is a reflection of my hearts desire. I don't know if it will ever come true, but I trust that God is good in the waiting.

  1. Creative projects! I have been doing something creative every day during out FET countdown and I will probably continue this during our TWW. I really find that creative projects keep my anxious thoughts from taking over. I can focus on projects, like this macrame rainbow, instead of spiraling down a what-if rabbit hole.

Verse for the Month

“For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

- Romans 8:24–28

Favorite Recipe

I have been loving this Eggroll in a Bowl recipe! It's sooo easy and even more delicious than I imaged. I have even made this for lunch during the week and it never disappoints.
