On May 21, Belonging Books held its first bookselling event at A-Way with Words, a spoken word and poetry event held in tribute to George Floyd and Black lives. The spoken word artists were empowering. Thank you to the hosts, The Cordial Eye, Amplify POC Cape Cod and Polyphonic Studios. I was so happy to introduce Belonging Books to everyone. Thank you for all your support! Click below to see where Belonging Books plans to pop-up. |

Starting April 4, Belonging Books held its first Creative Writing Workshop for BIPOC Teens. Five students joined, and we quickly became a small community. One student shared, "This workshop not only provided a comfortable place to share and reflect on personal stories, but it also gave me a place to feel comfortable writing and reading aloud my own words confidently!" |

This was just the beginning. Stay tuned for more youth writing workshop offerings across the Cape as I work on funding. |
