2021 continued to be another year of uncertainties as we learned how to thrive in our "new normal". All of this didn't slow us down at the sanctuary nor did it slow you down with your donations. We were able to rescue more farm animals in need, improve the lives of our more than 145 residents and make massive improvements at the sanctuary. Thanks to your donations this year, Harmony Farm Sanctuary will be an amazing "forever" home for all our rescued farm animals and our new barn cat, Ronald. JUST SOME OF THE AMAZING THINGS YOU'VE HELPED US ACCOMPLISH IN 2021: - 28 farm animals rescued, including Mac, Ruby, Tuesday, Bruce Hornsby, LuLu, Dennis, Sally, Einstein, Zucchini Bread, Phoenix and Mango.
- The rehabilitation of many of those rescued this year, including Noel and Polly who lost over 100 lbs! Both now settling in nicely to their forever homes.
- $2,000+ in on-going vet care for Phoenix providing him with ample pain relief and a chance at a better life.
- 10 spay/neuter operations including Eloise, Jericho, Bruce Hornsby and Tuesday!
- New shelters for Polly, Jericho, Elise and Charlotte's family of small goats.
- New duck ponds and safe overnight shelters for our family of ducks.
- 3 additional chicken coops so all chickens now have a safe place to roost overnight.
- A customized prosthetic cast for LuLu relieving her daily pain and suffering.
- Thousands of pounds of hay, healthy food and nutritional supplements to feed our more than 145 rescued farm animals this past year.
- Hundreds of pounds of straw to make warm and cozy bedding for our pigs, sheep, goats and chickens.
- A more focused approach with the creation of a HFS leadership team and restructuring of the HFS Board; just wait until you see what we have planned for 2022!
- The creation of our amazing volunteer program ensuring all the rescued animals of HFS receive the love and care they deserve, every day of the year!
- Through the creation of programs such as sanctuary tours, Patreon Memberships and Individual fundraisers a steady stream of donations has allowed us to create a good foundation from which to grow on in the coming years. (Shout out to Tammy at Rise Challenge)
- Countless hearts changed forever through on-going compassionate education.
