Can you feel it? The hill is on the verge of spring! Just as we anticipate the arrival of spring each year, so too we anticipate new projects, new neighbors, and new opportunities to get involved in our community whether in person or digitally. How are we getting into the new mood? By using our beautiful ARCO facility to host events digitally! (pictured above) This month's newsletter contains info on some of our newest board members, a review of the MYCincinnati Annual Campaign, exciting news for OPieO, and news on getting involved in the community plan of West Price Hill. Also some thank you's to our donors and updates on the progress happening at ARCO. |

You may know Craig from his 15 years of work and dedication at Oyler School in Lower Price Hill. Craig's leadership at Oyler led to the school being nationally recognized for an entire year on a Marketplace/National Public Radio (NPR) series titled “One School, One Year…” Craig has enjoyed opportunities to speak across the nation about leadership, education, and community leader centers. When he's not consulting about educational leadership, his personal interests include traveling, volunteering, exercising, following college football, and, of course, spending every minute he can with his family. | | |

| | O Pie O Next week, Price Hill Will is selling 917-923 State Avenue! We acquired this building in 2015 with City NBDIP funds with the intention to bring additional jobs and economic vitality to Lower Price Hill. The first tenant was Waterfields, LLC an aquaponics group specializing in premium microgreens, edible flowers, and other specialty produce. Unfortunately, as is often the case in business development, Waterfields didn't work out. In late 2017, we reassigned the lease to O Pie O, a specialty sweet and savory pie maker with a retail outlet in East Walnut Hills. O Pie O wanted to convert the building to a Bakehouse for pie-making. Significant capital improvements were made to the warehouse by the O Pie O team and the business has flourished through the years. O Pie O focuses on hiring Lower Price Hill residents and is a second chance employer; there are approximately 15 employees. O Pie O is now exercising its option to purchase the building. This has been a full 6 year journey, but we are thrilled to celebrate this true community development success story in Price Hill! | | |

Help the West Price Hill Vision The Belong, Be Strong: West Price Hill Plan held its second Working Group Meeting on Wednesday, December 9th virtually via Zoom. Each of the five Plan Theme Working Groups (Business Development/Engagement; Transportation Infrastructure; Community Engagement; Marketing; Crime + Safety) began to identify goals to that can be worked towards to achieve the Vision Statements that each group has developed. These goals and vision statements will help to guide conversations moving forward through the planning process and help in the formation of strategies/tasks and key project ideas for West Price Hill that will be identified in the plan. The Steering Committee is working to identify additional outreach opportunities to continue to get a larger community presence involved in the process. All are welcome and encouraged to attend the Working Group meetings and join in the process. If you are interested in attending these meetings, or learning more, please contact Andy Juengling with the City of Cincinnati’s Department of City Planning at andy.juengling@cincinnati-oh.gov. MYCincinnati Annual Giving Campaign MYCincinnati concluded our Annual Giving Campaign on February 26th, raising a total of $33,487! These funds will continue to support the ongoing free, daily music education of 100+ students in the program. It’s not too late to give! If you were not able to make a gift during our campaign, there are many ways to continue supporting us. You can become a sustaining donor anytime by visiting mycincinnati.org/give, like and share our content on social media, and continue showing community support for our students in their ongoing learning. |

Oboe DonationMYCincinnati would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Chris Philpotts (Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) for his donation of a recently restored professional Yamaha oboe to our Winds program. This generous donation of a top-of-the-line instrument helps us to create a bridge for our older and more advanced students from our MYCincinnati programming to “step up” programs like college music programs and summer music programs. |
