Since June

On June 22 we dusted off the Reformers, disinfected everything that moves (and doesn't move), and put out our sign.  Open for business once again we were, with clients practically beating down the door they missed Pilates (or maybe it was us), so much.

We started classes very gently and easily and lucky we did. We saw some wobbly legs and heard the groans as lots of muscles had slightly forgotten what Pilates was. But it didn't take long to build up those core muscles again.

 .

After about a month we had added many more classes including more evening and Dynamic classes back into the timetable.

We would like to thank you all for being so understanding as we tweaked the timetable daily/ weekly to accommodate demand for classes.  It was difficult to initially gauge how many classes to offer.  we were either going to be quiet or super busy. .

We have welcomed many new clients to our growing family which is so wonderful to see.  We look forward to seeing them progress and learn to love Pilates like the rest of us.

We celebrated our 1st Birthday!!!!

Well it wasn't really a celebration but we marked the occasion with a  Facebook post (some extracts of that below) - oh yes, we also had to close the doors because of "you know what".

But hey, we made it through our first year and we will be back soon.

From our Facebook post....

A little background...so we actually took the business over from n8 Health (next door), who had a Pilates studio here called n8 Pilates. We have continued to work closely with n8 Health who have also been an amazing support to us in getting our own studio up and going. To them we say a huge "Thank you".

Over the last year we have been able to continue Pilates classes for previous n8 Pilates clients but have also gained so many of our own new clients.

We have also welcomed 2 new teachers to the studio -Lorri and Laura who are fantastic at what they do and they themselves have managed to build up a clientele and following of their own.Having 3 teachers to hand enables us to provide more classes in the week and each of us offer something a little different to the way we teach and what teach. This in turn gives clients a different and more rounded Pilates experience.

But what a year it's been.

  • We have had some fun on at Golden Square Bowls and Croquet Club,
  • Christmas drinkys.
  • Brand new Reformers that have transformed what and how we teach Pilates.
  • New classes were introduced- In-Tensity, Kids and Teens classes.
  • Survived the "1st Wave".

LOOKING AFTER OUR COMMUNITY

We decided a little while ago to showcase businesses/ organisations in our community that may be associated with our clients.

We have been able to share info about

  • Bendigo Food Share
  • Ceeanday Pet Care Services
  • Custom Coffees
  • n8 Health

Julie's daughter Meg decided to knit some warm head bands and donated $5 from each sale to Bendigo Food Share.  She raised $50.  Well done Meg.  For more info about this wonderful service, have a look at their website https://bendigofoodshare.org.au/

CEEANDAY PETCARE SERVICES

Not many of us are going on holidays at the moment or going away, but there will be a time when we will.

You know when you want to get away for a weekend (remember those days?) and you don't because the "who's going to feed the animals" question pops up?

Consider Cerena's "Ceeanday Petcare Service".

There are so many options available. Your pets can be looked after in your home or Cerena's.

If your pet has needs regular medication/ exercise while you are at work CEEANDAY PetCarer Services can also help you out.

Its a no fuss service, one appointment with Cerena is all you need (a meet and greet) then you can call her anytime you require her services.(so you may still be able to make last minute plans to escape).

1:1 PILATES CLASSES- NOT JUST FOR NEW CLIENTS

These classes are generally used when a new client wants to start Pilates with us, but anyone can book one of these sessions.

Why a 1:1 Class?

  • For some clients they may want some closer instruction every so often to focus on problem areas (such as shoulders, lower back etc) or "tweak" their technique.
  • Others may prefer just to work on their own indefinitely for their own reasons.
  • Physical restrictions that may suit this style of class better.

We are always happy to accommodate clients when it comes to scheduling this type of class (or other types of classes too).  Some are already on the timetable but please get in touch if you require a different time.

BENDIGO HEALTH COME AND TRY

Lorri kept herself busy in July as she hosted a number of Come and Try Classes for Bendigo Health staff. They decided to support a local business whist combining a social activity with fun and fitness.

These fantastic doctors, nurses and admin staff were put through their paces in Group Reformer classes.  They were able to see how adaptable our equipment is and that Pilates isn't quite as easy as it looks.  There was lots of laughs. Some had been to Pilates but most had not.

We thank Kelly for arranging these classes and hope to see many of the participants back again soon.

If you work somewhere that could do with some fun, fitness and a social event, why not give us a call?  Life wont be like this ever- a Christmas break up with a difference!!!
