Happy Birthday, Kailee! May is not only seat belt awareness month; it is also Kailee Mills' birth month. She would have been 17 years old this year, on May 27th. Kailee will forever be frozen in time as Sweet 16. As her birthday rolls around each year, that is one more year she will not turn, one more year without creating new memories or experiences. Her 16 years on earth are marked with numerous accomplishments, countless smiles and echoing laughter. Her 16 years were filled with love and faith and friendships. We at Kailee Mills Foundation cannot bring her back but we can save other people from missing out on another year. Every time you get in the car, there is someone wanting you to come home safe. It only takes #3seconds2click. Remember to always #BuckleUp4Kailee and #LiveOn. |

Houston Metro Transportation Press Events and Booths Various Park & Rides May 21 - 23 Two press events will be held on May 21st: Cypress Park & Ride between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. Fannin South Park & Ride from 8 a.m to 9 a.m. We will have booths set up at 12 Park & Ride locations in the Houston Metro area where we will tell people about Kailee Mills Foundation, and hand out decals, brochures, etc. The combined daily vehicle count between these lots is nearly 12,800 cars! First thing you need to do to volunteer is fill out our Volunteer Signup. If you are under 18, we'd love your help but you will need to fill out the parental consent form after you submit the signup form. We honor Kailee Mayher of Strongsville, Ohio who went to be with The Lord on June 7, 2017 at only 16 years old. She was riding with her friends, not far from home, when the driver lost control and hit a tree. Sadly, she was not wearing a seat belt in the back seat and was ejected from the car. Kailee Mayher shared so many similarities with Kailee Mills: - Class of 2019
- Had plans to become a doctor
- Had a bright and bubbly personality
- Unforgettable
Her family says, "She was generous, thoughtful and kind. Her beautiful smile and her sparkling eyes will always be remembered. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Kailee was the light of our lives. She was beautiful in every way and will be greatly missed by many." We ask that you pray for her and her family, and that this tragedy serves as a reminder to always buckle up! #BuckleUp4Kailee |
