Art is for Everyone

NEW "Petite Amie (Sweetie)" by Kimberly Olson

I can hardly believe that we are already in mid-April and celebrating the 2-year anniversary of the gallery at the end of this month. Time certainly flies when you're having fun! We've enjoyed so many great moments and events over the past two years. It feels like we've packed three years worth of excitement into this time, and I can't wait to see what the next two years will bring. Get ready for A LOT of great, new artworks; interesting, fun events and inspiration!

As we say goodbye to Rob Toller's solo exhibit "Vessels for Spheres" tomorrow, don't miss the opportunity to take home one of his unique and affordable pieces. Join us tomorrow between 3 and 5 pm for a closing reception. You'll meet Rob and learn more about his inspiration and the process behind these wonderful sculptures during his artist talk. I predict tea with a chance of cookies.

Up next week is Jenny Rae Bateman's equine photography exhibit "Unbridled Connection". Jenny's images capture the beauty of free-spirited horses and the genuine connection between horse and rider. I have a special place in my heart for these noble creatures, and the lead up to this exhibit had me reminiscing about my childhood in The Netherlands, spending every free minute with horses. Don't miss the chance to experience this exhibit before it ends on April 28.

Looking ahead to May, we have an exciting event planned with Erin from Huckleberry Books and many other generous individuals. Join us for a blind date with a book to support the Kimberley Kaleidoscope Arts Festival 2024. We will have live music, poetry readings, community painting, raffle prizes, and of course, stacks of books waiting to be discovered. Get your tickets early to secure your spot at this incredibly fun evening.

I look forward to seeing you at the gallery.

Happy Spring!
