NGPC Cache Valley MX

August 19-21

NGPC Round 7 August 19-21 Cache Valley MX. Returned back to Idaho's farmland country this weekend. This venue always makes for a unique race and race course. It consisted of 6 miles of flowing through limited sight corn fields, a grass track, and then finishing out the racers wide open on the Moto track. This venue always makes for a spectator friendly event which had the Pro pits full of foot traffic all weekend!

THOMAS DUNN

8TH

PRO 250

Thomas rode hard but the pace was set high. He clicked off his laps and could only salvage an 8th place. He took away some key elements to implement more speed and match the pace for the next round which we will be returning.

In his words:

"Made some adjustments during the break and feel more comfortable then ever on the bike. I got off to a decent start but just didn’t have the pace to run with the guys up front. Felt good at times and I managed my weekend well. P. 8, taking away the positives and looking forward to going back in a few weeks for Worcs. Thank you to the whole Purvines Racing team! Living the dream."

CLAY HENGEVELD

14TH

PRO

Clay returns back to the races for the remainder of the year. He got some valuable seat time in and will be making adjustments. Was able to see where the pace is at after being away and now is ready to work. He will continue testing to get more comfortable and finish the year out strong.

In his words:

"I did not have the best finish today but I am healthy and that’s what matters. I want to give a huge thank you to PurvinesRacing, our team sponsors and my personal sponsors for helping me and getting me to the races. The course today beat me up pretty well but back to the drawing board for more. More testing on the bike to get it handling better for me and more seat time and getting that pace down will help me in the end. Thank you to Collin for all the hard work at the races as well as my family for the endless support. It feels good to be back at the races but we got some work to do."

TREVOR STEWART

DNF

 PRO

Trevor pulled a good start and was having a solid race in the top 5 mix. Was matching the pace of the top 3 racers until his mid race crash and DNF. We were happy with his speed and looking forward to returning back in a few weeks to see what he can accomplish.

In his words:

"After grabbing a good start and mixing positions in the top 5, the first half of the race felt like an all out brawl. I felt really good for an hour but my shoulder was really bothering me and it got to a point where I just couldn’t hold on anymore and was making huge mistakes that could have made me re injure myself. Bummer day, happy to be healthy and get ready for the next one. Thanks team"
