USA Pickleball Youth/Collegiate Grant

Youth Program Providers or Official College/University Club members can apply for a USA Pickleball Youth & Collegiate grant for a maximum of $350 per location for the purchase of eligible pickleball equipment.

 

Grant Eligibility:

  • You must be a current USA Pickleball Youth Program Provider or Official College/University Club member 18 years of age or older. If you are not a USA Pickleball Youth Program Provider or Official Club member:

    • CLICK HERE for Youth Provider memberships.

    • CLICK HERE for Club memberships.

  • All public and private schools, youth programs (Physical Education, intramural programs and student clubs) and colleges/universities are eligible to apply for a Youth & Collegiate Grant.

  • Your designated school location must be listed in “Places 2 Play” at the time the grant application is submitted.

  • You are limited to one grant per location (lifetime).

  • A named PE teacher, club leader or Official USAP Ambassador must participate in the program.

  • You must agree to the terms and conditions set forth in the USA Pickleball Grant Program.

Grand Opening - Towpath Tennis Center

Join Towpath Tennis Center on September 9th to celebrate the GRAND OPENING of Towpath's six outdoor, dedicated, competitive pickleball courts!

 

They will have instruction, open play, snacks, music, beer provided by Royal Docks, food from Sandy Bottom Bowls, and answers to all your pickleball membership and programming questions.

 

Where: 2108 Akron Peninsula Road, Akron, OH

When: Sept 9th, 4:00pm - 8:00pm

This is a FREE event, rain or shine!

Tournament in Toledo - APT

American Pickleball Tour brings its tournament to Toledo!

 

They will have Doubles and Singles events for both Men, Women & Mixed. This is a non-sanctioned tournament with a Round Robin format. Age brackets include 14+,19+,35+,50+,60+ with skill levels in each age bracket.

 

Registration includes indoor play on 16 courts with 3 levels of medals per bracket, swag bag, visor & hand towel.
 

Where: Glass City Center - 401 Jefferson Ave, Toledo, OH 43604
Dates: 9/15/22 - 9/18/22
Cost: All events are $10 each

Places To Play Updates

There have been a decent amount of updates in the list of Places to Play especially since indoor is starting back up again.

 

Here are some highlights of the indoor updates but definitely check out the full list of PLACES TO PLAY for more info on each one.

 

Indoor Updates:

  • North Olmsted Recreation Center - indoor PB starts up again on Monday, 9/17

  • Broadview Heights Center Court Tennis Club - indoor Pickleball for intermediate and advanced players on Tuesdays/Thursdays 7:30 AM to 9 AM.

  • Lakewood Y - Discontinued Sunday PB due to lack of interest

  • Rocky River (Don Umerley Civic Center) Rec Center - starts back up with indoor PB on Monday, September 12.

  • Tallmadge Recreation Center - They have 5 indoor courts open

    Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 5 AM to Noon.

  • North Ridgeville Racket and Paddle - A number of open sessions have been added, totaling 12 sessions. There is managed play & drill sessions for all skill levels.

  • Fairview Park - Indoor PB starts back up September 30.  Same days and hours

  • Cleveland Heights Community Center - Starts back up October 3.  Open PB is now 5 hours. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from

10 AM to 3 PM

  • Chagrin Valley Athletic Club - Revised Hours.  Morning Play: Thursday 9 AM to 10:30 AM;  Saturday: 9:30 AM to 11 AM; Evening Play: Tuesday and Wednesday:  6:30 PM to 8 PM

  • Paramount Tennis Club - Revised Clinic Hour; Added Junior Clinic; Adding Open PB starting October 4.  Social on 9/23; Tournament on 10/8

  • Lakewood Harding Middle School Indoor PB - Starts Thursday, 9/22 and goes every Monday and Thursday evening through Thursday, October 27 except no PB on Monday, 9/27 and Monday, 10/17. (9 sessions)

    Time: 6 PM to 8:30 PM
