Community COVID-Safe Interpretive Hikes Continue!

In February, SBN Board Treasurer, Aniko Millan, "AKA" Ranger Kiko led our community hike.  In March,  SBN Board Secretary Carlos Escobar took us on a fabulous adventure along with Craige Edgerton from Land Trust of Santa Clara Valley (LTSCV)! We are proud to be an organization led by people of color for a community of color.

These hikes follow COVID-Safe protocols with pre-hike temperature checks, use of hand sanitizer and face masks. Participants are given wrist bands to indicate that they have been checked-in safely. We had the pleasure of having 2 families join us. Participants experienced the gorgeous native wildflowers and site geology, as well as their A, B, C’s - Automobiles, Butterflies, Cows, and Serpentinite. The hike included lunch at a scenic outlook provided by LTSCV.

This program was funded in part by the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority Urban Grant Program.
