Happy Fall Y'all!

Around this time of the year we start seeing pumpkins and home decor of "Harvest" and "Thanks".  2020 has been one for the books, but I'm thankful for the small wins. Working during a pandemic has been nuts, but I'd like to share some of the time-saving resources that have helped me during the time of virtual therapy.

Website Resources

  1. www.boomlearning.com If you have not gotten on the boom cards train, you are missing out!  This website has helped me create a library of go to virtual materials to use for my kids during therapy.  I'm a bit of a frugalista, so I always search by putting the resources in order from lowest price to highest so I can weed out the free (0 pts) items!
  2. www.twinkl.com This site has been a life saver for my self contained kids.  This websit has great hands on (& easy to do) resources for younger kids and older kids in self-contained units.  You can search by topic and enjoy the premade resources, or even just borrow a few ideas to adapt your own activity.  I did give in here and purchased the $5 a month membership to get access to all the resources but it's well work me saving time planning!
  3. www.newsela.com  I love NewsELA!  I've signed up for their newsletter so I get "featured" articles sent to my inbox daily for my language kiddos.  I also have the option to go in and search any topic I'd like, with specified the word count/complexity level.  You can even highlight within the passage itself as you read.  NewsELA for the litearcy win!

October Challenge!

I challenge each of you to share one resource or system you've learned, found, created, etc that has been time saving or effective for you during this time of virtual therapy and share it with someone.  (Feel free to share with me too.  I love new resources!!)

Here's a start!  You can share my website with someone else.  I'd love to connect and share with you and all your friends! Just click on the "share via" link below.

~Take care and stay well!
