Howdy Salado Montessori Community & welcome back to another school year!

We are so excited to welcome many new students and their families to our school community.   Each week though September, one student will be added to our classroom, giving them time to become fully acquainted with the freedom within limits that the Montessori Method offers.   Our shelves are covered and slowly being unveiling, one or two per day, to give all students the chance to reacquaint themselves with the Practical Life works first, then Sensorial, and soon Language, followed by Mathematics, and finally Culture.

Upcoming Events:

The Back to School Gathering is at Pace Park at 5:30 next Friday, September 6th - everyone's invited!

Our Annual Grape Stomp Fundraiser at Salado Winery will kick off at 3:00 on Saturday, September 21 - Please plan to volunteer AND participate!  Who doesn't want to smash grapes with their feet?!?

Here are all the details & ticket info:

Grace & Courtesy

During these first two weeks group time has consisted of those Grace and Courtesy lessons every Montessori parent loves, including:

•    How to shake hands

•    Introducing yourself or a friend

•    Voicing problems/ concerns & resolving conflicts

•    How to set up for and clean up from lunch

•    Calendar

•    How to carry a book

•    How to blow your nose

Remember to prompt your kiddos when they are with you to continue using these skills.  A full list of our Grace and Courtesy lessons can be viewed here:

Thank you's!

If you haven't noticed yet, there are some changes happening on campus.  A beautiful new sign is going up thanks to the hard work and help of Centerline Welding & Jake McClure.

And, we'll soon have a new backyard play area - stay tuned for more on that!

Salado Montessori is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and relies on the generosity and support of our community and extended families to keep tuition low and provide living wages.

A HUGE thanks to our most recent monthly donors: Shirley and John Stephenson!

One of the ways we generate funds is through shopping on Amazon.  Setup is EASY.

AmazonSmile donates .5% to Salado Montessori Inc when you shop at smile.amazon.com/ch/81-4551078

The more people who sign up, the more is generated.  Funds are used for classroom improvements and expansion.

As always, thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day!
